Nawaz rules out indemnity package to Musharraf

Tue, 01 Jan 2008 ANI

Islamabad, Aug 15 (ANI): Apparently rejecting the suggestions that Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf would be given indemnity if he resigns, PML-N leader and former Pakistan premier whose elected government was toppled by Musharraf in Oct 1999 military coup, has said that the President had "trampled" on the country's constitution and he has to go.

He ruled out the possibilities of any safe passage to the President.

"There is no safe passage for him now. He is asking for safe passage after selling out Pakistan's sovereignty," the Daily Times quoted Sharif as saying while addressing his partymen in Lahore.

"I am not a revenge-seeker. It's not about me, it is about the whole country," said Nawaz. (ANI)
