Uttar Pradesh Police arrests SIMI activist in Allahabad

Lucknow, Aug 14 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday arrested a Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) activist from Ghoorpur area in Allahabad.

 

Counterfeit currencies worth six thousand rupees have been recovered from his possession.

 

According to sources, the banned outfit member was first arrested in 2001 in Surat District of Gujarat. Out of jail on bail, he was not following the conditions of the bail.

 

Further interrogation is going on. (ANI)
