London, Aug 13 (ANI): A friend of Prince Charles is so scared to go home after a burglary that she booked into the Dorchester Hotel in central London, where she has already racked up a bill of more than 200,000 pounds.
Rebecca Wang, the daughter of a Taiwanese industrialist and regular on the London party scene, was left terrified after thieves ransacked her Mayfair home, taking gems, watches and designer gear worth 500,000 pounds, reports the Sun.
Wang said that she had been forced to move out of her rented apartment and live in a 863 pounds-a-night room after the episode.
Now, Wang - a regular at Ascot and Prince's Trust charity events - is suing for 700,000 pounds compensation from her landlords Berkeley Square Holdings, owned by the Abu Dhabi royal family.
Wang claims that the raid would never have happened if the property's broken burglar alarm had been fixed or replaced.
The claim includes her 200,000 pounds hotel tab. (ANI)
