Islamabad, July 29 (ANI): At least one person was killed and three others wounded in a car bomb blast in North West Frontier Frontier Province's Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday.
Officials said the car was parked inside a parking lot of the district courts, and a remote control device was used to trigger off the blast.
More details are awaited.
Pakistan has been a victim of spiralling violence in the form of suicide and remote-controlled blasts carried out by Taliban militants.
The number of car bomb blasts and suicide strikes has increased drastically over the last two years with the Taliban seeking to expand its writ across the country.
On Tuesday, Pakistani security forces fighting Taliban militants in and around the Swat Valley rescued nearly a dozen teenage boys brainwashed into becoming suicide bombers.
The military says it has killed nearly 1,800 militants since the Swat offensive began in April, but the numbers could not be verified. (ANI)
