ICC ensures 'Ramadan facilities' for players, spectators during Champs Trophy
Karachi, Aug 13 (ANI): The ICC has said that it will ensure the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan, which coincides with the upcoming Champions Trophy, to be held in Pakistan from September 11-28.
Normally international cricket is not played in Pakistan during the month of Ramadan when most the players and spectators keep fasts during day time for the whole month, but a tight international schedule has forced the ICC to hold the biennial spectacle during the fasting month.

ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat told reporters here last evening that all possible steps were being taken to maintain the sanctity of Ramadan during the ICC Champions Trophy.
"I fast during Ramadan myself and know that special measures need to be taken for the spectators for matches played during that month," The News quoted Lorgat as saying.
Lorgat, a South African, took over from Australia's Malcolm Speed earlier this year.
Lorgat said that the ICC would schedule the Champions Trophy matches in such a manner that the spectators could break their fast without any inconvenience. (ANI)
