Melbourne, July 27(ANI): A young Indian origin TV journalist was threatened and attacked after she went underground to reveal migration and education scams in Australia.
Many foreign students, mostly Indians have become victims of migration and education rackets in Australia.
The Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC) TV female journalist was threatened and attacked during the production of the programme 'Four Corners,' on Sunday
According to ABC TV sources, the reporter went to two different migration agents posing as a customer wanting to pass an English language test without having the skills and told them that she was willing to buy a fake work certificate.
ABC, however, did not name the agents responsible for the attack.
The attack follows a series of racially motivated attacks on Indian students in Australia.
The programme will reveal several cases where international students, especially those from India, who have lost thousands of dollars over migration and education, related issues, claim the ABC website.
The channel claims that many Indian students have revealed that an aviation college, Aerospace Aviation failed to deliver its promised 200 hours of flying time over 52 weeks.
The ABC quoted Pushpinder Kaur, the mother of Prabmeet Singh as saying that he had spent over 40,000 dollars on a flying course, and was yet to get a pilot's licence.
Aerospace Aviation's spokeswoman Sue Davis however defended the training and questioned the level of commitment and dedication of students.
Karl Konrad, an education and migration agent, said was aware of a black market in dodgy documents for years. Even after informing the Australian immigration department, no action has been initiated, he added. (ANI)
