MJ was desperate to do moonwalk in space

London, July 26 (ANI): Late King of Pop Michael Jackson had once discussed with a space scientists whether it was possible for him to do his trademark moonwalk on the Moon, says a report.

The 'Thriller' hitmaker was said to be very desperate to outdo his popstar rivals by actually making it to the moon to do his famous dance move, in a ten-year 1.

However, the plan was thwarted after the singer was arrested and charged with child molestation, spiralling him into a world of depression and drug abuse that meant he was unfit for space travel.

These revelations have been made in a documentary in which Jackson's close friend Uri Geller unveils his private footage of the star.

Psychic Uri is also said to have revealed that Jackson's fascination with space and the afterlife meant that he believed he would get to see the universe in spirit form if he died before he got the chance to do it alive.

He has even released a recorded voicemail message revealing the singer's excitement at being told his dream of rocket travel was possible.

"Uri Geller, it's Michael Jackson calling¿erm when you get this message, please know that I pray we do the moon trip," the News of the World quoted Jackson as beaming in the message left at 3am one morning in 2002.

"I want to be the first one to do it in the pop world. Now I hear that 'N Sync and all these people are trying to go. I want to be first¿please.

"And let's do hands across England and let's think of some other wonderful things. I love you. Goodbye," the singer said in the message.

The message was left after Uri told Jackson that there was a Boeing scientist with links to Nasa, Martin Coeffoletti, who thought the trip could work.

Uri said that Jackson had became very obsessed with beating other singers-like Lance Bass from boyband 'N Sync-who had entered the race to get to space.

"He wanted to be the first popstar in space so badly. He had to be first," Uri, 62, said.

"He knew it wouldn't only be history-making, it would be history-shattering. Can you imagine¿Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk on the moon?

"It was unbelievable the determination he had. It was a burning desire to walk on the moon," Uri added. (ANI)
