UK backpacker Jamie Neale approached for 'I'm A Celebrity'

London, Sat, 25 Jul 2009 ANI

London, July 25 (ANI): British backpacker Jamie Neale, who survived 12-day ordeal in Australian mountains, has reportedly been approached to show off his surviving skills in 'I'm A Celebrity'! Get Me Out Of Here.

The jungle bosses want the 19-year-old, found alive after going missing in the Aussie outback for 12 days, to join the show to clear his name.

They hope that the show would help him prove he's no hoaxer.

Neale, from London, disappeared earlier this month in the Blue Mountains, near Sydney.

He said he had survived on a diet of berries, nuts and nettles, but some critics reckoned it was a hoax.

"Ever since Jamie was found alive, he's had a tough time trying to prove his story," the Daily Star quoted an 'I'm A Celeb' insider as saying.

"What better chance to prove he's the real deal than to go on our show and face some poisonous spiders and snakes?" the source added. (ANI)
