Oct 11: The Income tax officials conducted simultaneous raids at the places owned by cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s family in Delhi and NCR region till late Wednesday night. The raids were conducted on the basis of alleged tax evasion and undisclosed income related to them.
It is presumed that about half a dozen places including offices and residences owned by Gautam’s family were raided till late into the night. Income-tax sleuths targeted Gambhir’s family business interests in Delhi and the NCR. The Gambhir’s family has mostly textiles and merchandise business in and around the capital.
Gambhir, who is recovering from an injury cropped up during the ongoing India-Australia ODI series, was at home when income tax authorities conducted the raids.

According to the sources nearly half a dozen premises belonging to the Gambhir family were raided and a huge reserve of "assets, income and investment details" were recovered.
