Islamabad, July 21 (ANI): Pakistani security forces have killed at least 114 Taliban militants in two separate operation in Lower Dir and Swat regions, while three army officials have also lost their lives, a private TV channel has claimed.
During the operation, troops managed to destroyed many bunkers and hideouts in Lower Dir, after they targeted the headquarters.
The Daily Times quoted the ISPR, as saying that two-wanted Taliban militants - Fazal-e-Haq and Khairul Ghafoor - had also been arrested in Swat and Malakand.
"Search-and-clearance operations were conducted in Talgai near Madyan in Swat and made the arrests there," said an ISPR press release.
According to sources, security forces conducted a search operation in Mano Derai near Peochar, and confiscated 17 boxes of ammunition.
"In Matta, troops seized a vehicle fully prepared for a suicide attack, two improvised explosive devices and one suicide jacket," said the statement.
An army major died in a clash with the Taliban in Kamyrai near Dardial. (ANI)
