To cater the growing demand of multiplying students, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is going to launch a joint online programme-Sri Aurbindo Studies in collaboration with SACAR (Sri Aurobindo Centre for Advanced Research) from 15th of August.
Various online courses will be open to meet the need of students of PhD, M Phil, MA, PG Diploma and PG Certificates. The IGNOU administration also said in its statement released on Sunday that it would extend its distance learning programmes.
The courses will commence from the first week of September and the students can register themselves online through SACAR’s website. SACAR provides a number of online courses in the fields of integral philosophy, yoga-psychology, literature and aesthetics, social and political thought, integral education, Indian culture and spirit etc.
In the first week of August, IGNOU had joined hands with All India Management Association (AIMA) to offer sectoral programmes to the growing talents in emerging industry like Retail, Banking and Finance.
On August 2, the MoU was signed between AIMA and IGNOU to offer joint E-learning and Doctoral programmes.
AIMA was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India in 1957.
A day earlier another MoU was signed between Registrar, IGNOU and Director, Health Services, Govt of NCT, Delhi for the development of Health/Medical Education and Training in the NCT.
As per the memorandum the IGNOU and the Govt. of NCT shall share academic and technological experiences and develop strategies to design, develop and implement academic programmes/ courses for paramedical personnel for continuation of medical education and training.
The Govt. of NCT of Delhi shall sponsor in-service candidates for the various programmes being offered by the School of Health Sciences of IGNOU.
The IGNOU will provide classes, counselling, video counselling, self-instructional materials to the learners, etc. Learners can take admission and registration through its Regional/Study Centres. They will be issued markssheets as per the University norms.
