'Princess Chunk' - the lost cat that weighs almost 20kg!

Melbourne, Aug 3 (ANI): An enormous cat weighing almost 20kg has been found wandering on the streets of New Jersey in the US.

Now, officials at a New Jersey animal shelter hope the cat would get a nice - hopefully, diet-friendly - home.

"She's built like a quarterback. I mean, how do you lose a 20-kilo cat?" News.

com.au quoted the big cat's volunteer foster owner Deborah Wright said.

'Princess Chunk', as the shelter workers have aptly nicknamed the massive kitty, has been put on a strict diet by a veterinarian.

The owner had until Aug 2 to claim the cat. Now, it will be put up for adoption."I'm about to put a leash on her and walk her. She could pass for a dog,"right said.

The largest cat on record was from Australia and weighed more than 21kg. It died in the 1980s.

The Guinness World Records has since dropped the category, fearing cat owners might harm their animals in an attempt to break the record. (ANI)
