Angry young man annoys Khan, Bollywood looks for just another lobby

May 04: The differences between Amitabh Bachchan and Sharukh Khan seem to be widening these days. The rivalry has divided the Indian film industry fans into two groups. Both are consider as aces in film industry and the popularity battle has forced others in the industry to take sides.

Amitabh Bachchan and Sharukh Khanâ??s bitterness came to limelight recently, when Bachchan family did not invite the Shahrukh in the marriage of Abhishek Bachchan.

Some well known faces of Bollywood were also missing on the day.

Itâ??s been almost a decade now to the popularity battle of Sharukh and Bachchan. The angry young man of yester years comes out fine even after four decades. At the same time the heart throb and dude who still appears pretending to be so, Shahrukh is not letting it go that easily.

Though both of them deny any kind of rivalry and acrimony in public but their brand value and the amount of adds they endorses reflect pretty lot. Each of them charge nearly Rs 4 crore to feature in a single add. Also they are both trying to experiment with their roles in Bollywood movies.

According to sources from industry, after the April wedding of Bachchan's son Abhishek with former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, the brand value of the family has increased and become higher than Sharukh Khan. With higher brand value the Bachchan brand seems a threat to the other, thereby splitting the industry within.

Reportedly, it was observed that Sharukh is trying to make a new club with some prominent people from film industry. The proxmity of Sharakuh, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan makes a popular â??Khan Clubâ?? and it can be really interesting as it can smack down the Bachchans. Other celebrity like Hrithik Roshan, who is also a close childhood friend of Abhishek Bachchan, is also believed to be a part of the Sharukhâ??s group. Like Shahrukh, Hrithik was also missing from the invitation list of April wedding.

Though, some senior men in industry pointed out the rivalry as media hype but the two distinct lobbies are clearly visible now. The Bachchan family has a larger brand value but Sharukh along with other two Khans, Hrithik Roshan and some prominent directors and producers can generate more than Bachchanâ??s.

However, the competition will eventually benefit the industry and the audience can only expect some good movies in the pipeline.
