Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement between India, Syria

New Delhi, Aug 8 (ANI): The Union Cabinet today gave its ex post facto approval for the signing of a Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (BIPA) between India and Syria.
The agreement was signed on June 18.
The objective of the BIPA is to promote and protect the interest of investors of either country in the territory of the other country.
This decision would increase investment flow between India and Syria. (ANI)
