Srinagar, June 12 (ANI): Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Friday said that he would enquire about the details of the mysterious disappearance of a 47-year-old scientist from Kaiga Nuclear Power Plant in Karnataka.
"When I will go back to Delhi, I will find out. I will find out what efforts have been made," Chidambaram told media persons here on Friday.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which guards the plant and local police, have launched a joint operation to trace scientist, N Mahalingam, who went missing five days ago.
The team is trying to investigate whether it was a case of abduction or the scientist went somewhere by himself.
According to local police officials, Mahalingam, who worked at the Simulator Training Division of the Power Plant went for a morning walk on June 8 but did not return. A complaint was lodged by his wife on the same day in Mallapur police station in Karwar. (ANI)
