Chennai, August 7 (ANI/Business Wire India): Chennai based multinational company, Shivsu Canadian Clear Waters India Private Limited, a leading global water technology solutions provider, has bagged a prestigious order of around Rs. 250 crore to install the world's largest containerized desalination plant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The plant uses Reverse Osmosis Technology and is completely containerized. It has 378 containers of both 40 and 20 feet and has a capacity of 75 Million Liters per Day (MLD). Compact plants the world over do not cross a production capacity of more than ten MLD.

This plant will be fully manufactured in 225 days. This is another record as plants that are half of this capacity will take, over two years to complete.

The entire plant has been designed, engineered, manufactured and assembled at Chennai. Its USP is its delivery time, compactness and containerization. Such plants are normally used for campsites.

Shivsu Canadian Clear had earlier installed such plants for the US defense in Iraq.

Shivsu Canadian Clear personnel have been working 24 x 7 over the last four months to execute this order. The core team (Design and Engineering) consisted of 24 personnel. 300-350 personnel are working in India to achieve the productivity in time.

The core team and 45-50 personnel are now engaged in installation and commissioning in KSA. This project when handed over will serve the industrial and domestic water needs of an entire city in KSA.

"It is truly a matter of great pride that we, a Chennai based company, have won the pitch for this project amidst stiff competition from major global players," said Sushil Kumar Easwaran, Technical Director, Shivsu Canadian Clear Waters India Private Limited. (ANI)
