Oxford University's students pose nude for charity calendar

London, Jun 9 (ANI): Students studying at Oxford University have shed off their clothes to pose for a naked calendar, in aid of the academic institution's charity TravelAid.

Around 60 students took part in the black-and-white calendar, with one of the saucy snaps showing three stunners punting naked along the River Cherwell, just yards from the main campus, for the month of July.

"It's not something that would happen in my day. I certainly blushed when I saw it and wondered what the Don's would say," the Sun quoted one stunned college warden as saying.

"But it shows the students are having a good time and all the proceeds go to charity so it's worth it," the warden said.

In another shot, intended for August, a group of geeky students posing naked with nothing more than mortar boards and organ pipes covering their modesty can be seen.

The other pictures showed a row of cheeky chaps baring all on the famous Iffley rugby field for November, another for May showed two blonde babes getting cosy in the Christ Church halls, which had housed scholars such as William Gladstone and Auberon Waugh.

"Getting your clothes off with the girls in such prestigious surroundings was an amazing feeling and a big thrill," a 22-year-old stunner said.

"We all got such a taste for stripping after we shot the calendar that we couldn't stop taking our clothes off around campus - it might even be catching.

"I think we were all shocked at how much we enjoyed it. There's plenty more pictures where they came from," she added.

TravelAid had received permission from university chiefs to shoot the calendar in the grounds, and it released the calendar last week in a bid to raise money for students to volunteer abroad.

"The idea just came to me one day and I thought - why not?" director Catherine Little, 22, said.

"The calendar has turned out brilliantly and we hope that it will bring a smile to people's faces and raise money for a good cause.

"The staff have all been really supportive and they've certainly enjoyed looking at the calendar," she added. (ANI)
