New Delhi, June 8 (ANI): US Under Secretary of State William Burns will arrive in India on June 10 on a four-day visit for talks on promoting bilateral relations between US and India.
According to an official release from the US embassy, New Delhi, Burns will meet with senior government officials and private sector leaders to discuss a broad agenda to further strengthen partnership between the US and India.
In the backdrop of release of Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed, the Indian side is expected to raise the issue with Burns and Indian Government is expected to convey its disappointment over Pakistan's inaction against those responsible for the 26/11 attacks.
According to reports, Burns will meet External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and hold talks with Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon.
New Delhi considers that Saeed was set free by the Lahore High Court after six-month detention, as the Pakistan government did not file sufficient charges against him. (ANI)
