K.R.Nagaraja's role in promoting Kannada in Delhi remembered

New Delhi, June 8 (ANI): Large number of people from all walks of life paid rich tributes to late K.R.Nagaraja on his 67th birth anniversary function held here this weekend.

 

K.R.Nagaraja, Additional Advocate General of Karnataka Government in Delhi, was former President of Delhi Karnataka Sangha.

 

On Sunday, a number of distinguished Kannada writers, advocates, and Kannada activists attended the birth anniversary celebrations organised by "Dehali Kannadiga", a Kannada monthly Published from Delhi.

 

"Nagaraja started a new era in Kannada activities in Delhi and organised different programmes to revive the glory of Kannada culture in Delhi and also planned Kannada cultural complex," said Editor and writer M.B.Samaga of the Dehali Kannadiga on this occasion.

 

Samaga requested the Karnataka government to build a common guesthouse in Delhi in memory of Nagaraja.

 

Besides, Samaga announced that an award will be instituted by "Dehali Kanndiga" in memory of Nagaraja to be given to a distinguished Kannada activist. (ANI)
