New Delhi, June 8(ANI): Senior NCP leader and Union Civil Aviation minister Praful Patel said here on Monday that their party will completely dissociate itself from MP Padam Singh Patil, if the charges alleged against him are proved.
"If the charges are proved, then the NCP will completely dissociate itself from Patil," said Praful Patel.
However, Patel highlighted that it was too early to comment on the involvement of the NCP MP into the crime.
"As of now, the party has nothing to do with the case as it is something between the investigative agencies and Patil," Patel said.
Patil, a newly-elected minister was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday for his alleged involvement in the 2006 murder of Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar.
Earlier, Superintendent of Police, CBI, Amitabh Thakur, said he was being questioned at the CBI office in South Mumbai after an arrested accused Parasmal Jain claimed that Patil had ordered Nimbalkar's murder. (ANI)
