NC, UML discuss Govt. formation excluding Maoists
Kathmandu, Aug 7 (ANI): Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel met CPN-UML General Secretary Jahalanath Khanal today to meet the deadline given by President Dr. Ram Baram Yadav to form a consensual Government in Nepal.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed that if the CPN-Maoist cannot form a government with Nepal national consensus, the NC and the UML will try to make a government without the Maoists.

Khanal said that if such condition comes, the new government must be led by the UML.
Meanwhile, Nepal's caretaker Prime Minister met UML former General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal.
During the meeting, the two leaders are learnt to have reached a conclusion that the new Government of national unity should be formed on consensus with all the parties.
However, they are also said to be quite sure that a new Government wouldn't be formed within the timeframe set by President Dr. Yadav.
Koirala will also meet the leaders of the fringe parties later today, Kantipur reported. (ANI)
