Winehouse 'ropes in St Lucia musicians for new LP'

London, Fri, 05 Jun 2009 ANI

London, June 5 (ANI): Amy Winehouse has taken her love affair with St Lucia a step further after reportedly recording her new album with three local traditional musicians.

The London born singer allegedly roped in the trio for her much-delayed third album, which is said to be based on the folk stories of her new island home.

"Amy's love affair with St Lucia shows no sign of wearing off," the Sun quoted a source as saying.

"She's been recording with three local musicians who play traditional island instruments like the cuatro, which is a small version of a guitar, and shak-shaks, which are similar to maracas.

"She's immersed herself in every aspect of island life and is particularly taken with the nation's folklore. She's definitely going to call on the colourful content of the island's legends for her new songs," the source added.

But the 25-year-old's bandmates were said to be not so pleased and had placed their doubts about the Caribbean experiment.

The source added: "Some of her bandmates aren't convinced by the change in direction yet but they are following orders." (ANI)
