Tue, 01 Jan 2008 ANI

Kathmandu, Aug 6 (ANI): Maoist Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal alias 'Prachanda oday directed its youth wing, Young Communist League (YCL) to end its paramilitary structure in Nepal.

In a statement issued by him, Prachanda also directed his party organisation to return all the seized lands and properties of Government and private individuals.

"The directions have been issued for effective appeal for the implementation of the seven-point agreement signed by the political parties," the statement said.

Prachanda is also positive about the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction providing the unpaid allowances to the Maoist combatants living in the cantonments and to provide relief to the victims of the armed conflict, the statement added.

The statement further said that the ineffective implementation of the agreements concerning relief to the families of the armed conflict's martyrs, Commission for the disappeared people, cantonment management, rehabilitation of the displaced ones and YCL structure has increased distrust among each other.

The statement has come at a time when the Maoists are forging alliance with the Nepali Congress, the UML and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum to form a new Government under its leadership in Nepal, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
