Al Pacino honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Rome
Washington, Aug 5 (ANI): One of the most influential American actors of all time, actor Al Pacino will be honoured at the Rome Film Festival in October (08).
Pacino will be honoured with a Marcus Aurelius Lifetime Achievement Award.
The prize will form part of the festival's tribute to the New York Actors Studio, for which the actor is a board member.
"Thank you for bestowing your acting award on me," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
"It is a further indication of the homage to the work of the Actors Studio, and I am very honoured to receive it," he added.
A number of the actor's movies will be screened at the event, but not his new collaboration with Robert De Niro, Righteous Kill, which has been withdrawn from the festival for undisclosed reasons. (ANI)
