The movie, filmed on location in her Australia last year, had the Oscar winner playing English widow Lady Sarah Ashley, an aristocrat who inherits a huge cattle station in northern Australia.
The story is set during World War II, when the Northern Territory town of Darwin was bombed by the Japanese army.
"It's romantic, adventurous, and huge in scale," Daily Telegraph quoted Jackman as describing the film.
"That's what I love about Baz. His movies really are all about breaking society's rules and love conquering all.
"Working with Nicole was beyond anything I could have imagined," he added.
Kidman admitted she found the film very challenging and abandoned her usual five star hotels to camp out in the bush with the cast and crew.
"It's the roughest thing I ever had to go through. We got caught in a dust storm so bad we couldn't even see," she said.
"Everybody lived out there for five days in these little silver tents. It was great," she added. (ANI)
