The girl who made her debut in bollywood alongside Ritesh Deshmukh in Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003 has made a distinct place for her through her excellent skills.
Born in Mumbai in the family of Manglorean catholics on August 5, 1987 she attended St. Teresa High School in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. Later she joined St. Andrews College, Bandra to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies. Her father works with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Her mother left her job as a managing director of a multinational Pharma company to help Genelia in her career. She also has a younger brother. She was a state level athlete and football player of national level.
She got her modeling assignment at the age of 15 when she appeared in the Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan. This commercial got great attention opening the doors of medalling for her.
Since her debut in 2003 she has acted in a number of successful films. Masti, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and recently released force are her some of the successful films. However she has done a number of films in south in Tamil and Telugu cinema.
This beautiful actress will soon tie the knots with Ritesh Deshmukh, bollywood actor.
