Moreover, it also addresses gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, diabetes, pain, allergies, and HIV/AIDS as well as central nervous system disorders diseases. Its groundbreaking anti-malarial drug is still under trial and soon to be come in the market for countering falciparum malaria. In research field, it basically focuses on metabolic, inflammatory, and respiratory illnesses. Japanese firm Daiichi Sankyo Company Ltd., in June 2008 has acquired this company.
