How Lambadi Dance is performed?

Lambadi dance is mainly performed by the female dancers in their traditional costumes while the male drummers play the accompanying rhythmic beats. The female dancers in large groups wearing traditional colorful costumes and ornaments perform the dance in group. Their rhythmic body movement accompanying the drums is neither too vigorous nor erratic in nature. From a viewer's or onlooker's perspective the dance offers great colorful body movement glittering with heavy ornaments worn by the dancers. The jewelries range from precious ivory made ones to typical ethnic jewelries decorated with glass and mirrors or sequins.
