Christmas Celebration in Vatican City

Vatican city is the smallest independent state in the world by both population and area. Christmas is a very special time and preparations begin with the Novena (eight days before Christmas) and it concludes on Christmas Day when the young and old generation gathers on Vatican Square at noon on Christmas Day to seek the Pope's blessing. The Vatican City is considered as most scared place of Christian and it is a city of immense cultural and religious significance. Christians from all over the world want to visit this place once in a lifetime.

St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel are undoubtedly the most famous landmarks of the Vatican. These two impressive building are the examples of beautiful art and architecture in the entire world. In these two edifices one can admire the masterpiece of great sculptors and artists such as Michelangelo, Botticelli and Bernini.
