Geography: The climate in this country is fairly moderate and varies from sub-tropical to tropical range. Due to the blowing of Trade winds the temperature remains relatively mild. However, it is also vulnerable to Hurricanes during the rainy season, which extends from May to November. During summers, the temperature may be higher offering a sweltering day and the winters remain relatively cooler.
For vacation seekers and other tourists Bahamas offers the perfect weather for their small rendezvous.

Culture: Bahamians are known for their cordiality towards other people belonging to various ethnicities or culture. They have an influence of African culture, which gets depicted through their cuisine, language and also certain religious practices. As there are a certain number of Haitians who speak Creole. Besides this they also involve themselves in the practice of story telling or Folklore binding their century old rich culture.

Some of their cultural practices include Straw Weaving, in which the Bahamians are best skilled, creating beautiful hats and baskets. Then there is Canvas Art where the enthralling and soul appealing surroundings of the islands are artistically painted. Besides this, the unique Kalik beer is considered as the treasure drink of the islands as it’s not heavy and is rather cooler in its composition offering a great delight to the consumers by cutting down the day’s heat. Another special drink is called Switcher, made of fresh citrus limes tasting subtly sour.

Within Bahamas, there are a number of islands, which are yet not much explored. The island of New Providence in Grand Bahama is an important center to the capital, Nassau Island in Bahamas is well known for its tourist resorts, super markets and casino clubs. Then there is Nassau public library and museum that consists of a wide range of historic books and the artifacts. Besides these there is a national park named Lucayan that consists of the world’s longest underwater cave system, which attracts a large number of tourists every year. The Bahamian beaches are popular tourist hangouts and its Bahamian cruise are world famous.
Biminis Island is perhaps the most sought after place offering a great deal of fishing that is undertaken as a part of play.
